A diferencia del periodo 2007-2017, el gobierno de Lenín Moreno contribuyó a debilitar la institucionalidad pública y crear las condiciones para que personajes vinculados a la empresa privada capturen el Estado, a través de los conocidos mecanismos de puertas giratorias y lobby empresarial, con el objetivo de impulsar una política pública que favorezca intereses particulares en detrimento del interés general. Desde este punto de vista, en este artículo nos planteamos resolver una pregunta bastante simple: ¿Quiénes fueron los ministros que Lenín Moreno designó a lo largo de su mandato? ¿Cuáles eran sus características sociodemográficas? ¿Qué tipo de vinculación tenían con el sector empresarial? ¿Eran los ministros, propietarios de empresas, altos ejecutivos o dirigentes empresariales? Para desarrollar nuestra investigación utilizamos una metodología cuantitativa y, a través de un procedimiento de estadística descriptiva presentamos los resultados obtenidos.
