Description:
La conflictividad social y política del tercer cuatrimestre del gobierno demócrata popular puede ser caracterizada a partir de dos grandes nudos problemáticos: en primer término, una polarización regional de la política (en la que el enfrentamiento entre Guayaquil y el Gobierno Central ha tomado muchas veces matices violentos) que ha agudizado, como nunca antes, el debate y la necesidad de viabilizar formas de descentralización y/o regionalización del Estado y la Nación; y, en segunda instancia, un frontal rechazo a la política estatal, sobre todo en lo relativo al manejo de la crisis bancaria, de parte de numerosos grupos sociales y partidos políticos de oposición.
