El presente trabajo se circunscribe en torno a la disponibilidad del título de los textos como ayudas para el lector y la recuperación de la información relevante que es capaz de alcanzar el alumno ingresante al primer año del nivel secundario de una escuela de Gestión Privada de Provincia de Buenos Aires. El objetivo de esta investigación es determinar si la disponibilidad de los títulos en los textos permite alcanzar mayor información relevante en relación a los que no lo usan, y de esta manera facilitar la comprensión de los mismos. Este trabajo se basa fundamentalmente en un diseño experimental caracterizado por la manipulación artificial de los títulos de los textos y por la aleatorización de los sujetos. En cuanto a la recolección de datos, es mixto. Se partió del siguiente supuesto: la disponibilidad de los títulos como ayudas en la lectura de los textos, en alumnos ingresantes al primer año del nivel secundario, permite disponer de mayor información relevante que otros que no lo usan. Luego de la obtención de los resultados de las pruebas estadísticas se concluye que los títulos actúan como facilitadores de la comprensión profunda, no siendo determinantes en respuestas que requieren comprensión superficial. This piece of work has to do with the availability of the text titles as a help for the reader and the recovery of the most relevant information that the entrant student, to fist year private secondary school, is capable of achieving. The aim of this investigation is to determine if the availability of the text titles allows greater relevant information in relation to those students who do not take them into account and this way facilitate their comprehension. This paper is basically based on an experimental design, distinguished by the artificial manipulation of the text titles and by the randomization of the subjects; as far as the data recollection it is mixed. The study started by the following assumption: the availability of the titles as a help to comprehend the text, in students who are about to enter first year in secondary school; this provides them with more significant information than those who do not use them. After obtaining the results of statistical tests, it is concluded that the titles act as facilitators of deep comprehension, not being decisive in responses that require superficial understanding.
