Contamos con una interpretación de “utopía” que, desligada de lo imposible ideal, resulta un posible difícil que, por lo mismo, está muy dentro de lo que llamamos cristiano: lo crucificado, comprometido, perseguido o, al menos, incomprendido. Es riesgo de lo utópico la incomprensión y basta con saberlo y esperarlo. Marcos da a entender que Pedro, cuando vio a Cristo transfigurado y confirmó su sospecha de la divinidad del Maestro, se enloqueció de tal forma que pretendió mantener la divinidad en una choza y hacerla con su mano, sin saber nada del oficio de constructor. Sin embargo, la actitud de Pedro fue un caso de auténtica utopía y profetizó lo que nuestra fe anuncia y vive: Dios en el hombre, Cristo en nosotros. Quevedo define al hombre: “polvo enamorado”.
