Análisis de los obstáculos que enfrenta la ejecución de la política de abastecimiento alimentario de Bogotá, por cuenta de las características de la comercialización tradicional de alimentos, en particular de su mercado mayorista. En este sentido se identifican claramente cuáles son las restricciones que enfrenta la política para eliminar la intermediación comercial, se argumenta por qué la intermediación mayorista no es el factor que más encarece los precios de los alimentos, y se puntualiza las limitaciones que debe tener en cuenta la política al momento de adaptar su implementación para incluir al sector mayorista.
This study analyzes the obstacles faced in the implementation of Bogotá’s food supply policy, considering the structural characteristics of traditional food commercialization, particularly within the wholesale market. In this context, it clearly identifies the constraints that the policy encounters in attempting to eliminate commercial intermediation. The paper argues that wholesale intermediation is not the primary factor driving food price increases and highlights the limitations that policymakers must consider when adapting the policy’s implementation to effectively incorporate the wholesale sector.
