Description:
A partir de la realización, en los años 80, de los seminarios latinoamericanos sobre educación para le televisión, celebrados bajo el liderazgo del CENECA (Centro de Indagación y Expresión Cultural y Artística) de Chile, de la UCBC (Unión Cristiana Brasileña de Comunicación Social) de Brasil, y La Crujía de Argentina, la expresión "Educación para los medios" (en inglés Media Literacy o Media Education) pasa a representar -en el contexto de las interrelaciones comunicación/educación - un importante componente en un proceso más amplio en curso, dirigido a la construcción de ecosistemas de comunicación concebidos a partir del polo y de los intereses de los receptores o usuarios de los productos culturales. Se pasa a hablar, entonces, de una "Educación para la Comunicación".
